P 60 of Paul E. Sullivan, et. Al vs. Little Hunting Park Inc, et. al. Chancery No. 22751
Detail, Paul E. Sullivan, et. Al vs. Little Hunting Park Inc, et. al. Chancery No. 22751
When Mr. Sullivan went to pay the annual dues and assign the pool membership to Mr. Freeman in May of 1965 it was denied. When Mr. Sullivan inquired why, he was told it was because Mr. Freeman would not be allowed to use the pool. While not explicitly stated in the initial refusal, a meeting between members of the board at the Sullivan’s house the only discussion for the denial was because the Freeman family were black.
