These meeting minutes record the Falls Church School Board's outlay of $100 to build the Ilda School and payment arrangements to run it. The school served only white children; nevertheless, an 1892 meeting to plan it (and possibly the meeting referenced here) took place at the Black-owned business of Horace Gibson, according to historian Tom Shoop (Crossroads, page 65).
