Johnson Family Seated Outside Their Ilda Farmhouse

Description

Viola Johnson Richardson in an oral history identifies the figures in this photo as her father Walter, his sister Luray, and their parents, Catherine Johnson and her husband. They are seated outside their house on their 30-acre farm in Ilda, which abutted the Gibson property. Richardson was born to Walter and Amy Johnson in 1922 and grew up on the farm with 10 siblings. Amy Johnson remained on the farm into the 1950s.
