Description
Winne Walker Spencer attended Laurel Grove School from grades one through seven starting in 1914. She went on to teach in segregated schools in Fairfax County including Gum Springs, Woodlawn, and Odrick's Corner to name a few. She had close bonds with her students, as one can see in this image, and she retired from teaching in the Fairfax County School System in 1958.
