This article notes the first times the COunty Board of Supervisors became involved with the process of stopping the development. Board Chair, Phyllis Randall also notes her staunch opposition to MOJAX's Middleburg Preserve developments. This was the first time St. Louis residents began to see the fruits of their labor in resistance to MOJAX, development, and displacement.
